A Special Presentation by STK Architecture        

This 45,000 SF (including roof top garden), LEED Gold Certified facility was designed to be the first combination library/environmental learning center in the United States.  The facility exceeds Title 24 Energy Conservation Measures by over 40%, will produce nearly 30kW of renewable energy, and provides ample natural daylight for all areas.

The evening will host a presentation and tour of the building led by the architectural team members of STK Architecture.  The design team will showcase numerous green building initiatives.

STK Architecutural Design Team:

Kevin Troutman, CEO, President, Owner

Mr. Troutman joined STK in 1976 as an intern architect and was made partner in 1985.  He is currently the President and CEO of the firm.  He has been the principal-in-charge on Multi-Cinemas throughout the nation, as well as, a diverse variety of project types including governmental, retail, military, churches, electronic communication and historic adaptive reuse.  In addition, he directs existing facility analyses, historic interface, as well as fire, life-safety and code reviews.  Mr. Troutman continues to guide STK in the continual enhancement of services including the integration of current technologies such as building information modeling (BIM) and sustainable design principles.  

Camille Pulliam Acton, Principal/Owner

Ms. Acton joined STK in 1988 as a project manager and was made a partner in 1997.  She has been the principal-in-charge of numerous multi-cinemas and entertainment complexes throughout the U.S. and a variety of projects in Southern California, including libraries, community buildings, parks, and churches.   Currently, Ms. Acton is pioneering a sustainability initiative with the objective of assessing and optimizing the efficiency of existing buildings.

Paul A. Frick, Associate, LEED AP

Mr. Frick has extensive experience in the design and project management of libraries, community facilities, information centers and park buildings.  After joining STK in 2000, he has managed the Highland Library/ ELC, Crestline Library, Moreno Valley Library, and assisted with the Highland Police Station.  He is the LEED consultant for STK’s San Jacinto office.
